Effects of Pruning Mulch on Nutrient Concentration of Avocado (Persea americana Mill.) Fruit under Subtropical Conditions

In this study, avocados of the Hass variety cultivated in Almuñécar (Granada, Spain) are analyzed after soil mulching with pruning debris. The mulch treatment assay was composed wastes from subtropical crops (avocado, cherimoya, and mango) garden surrounding areas. aim work is to analyze nutrient content avocado fruit effect pruning-waste on development over four years. Avocado fruits collected 2013, 2016, 2017 were weighed, their volume sugar calculated, macro- micronutrients peel, pulp, stone (endocarp seed). pulp contained highest concentration nutrients, especially Cu, Zn, P, Na, Ca. peel presented high concentrations Mn, K, N, while recorded lowest values greatest decreases years precipitations registered. Over study period, a decline detected related alternation low yields, typical crop, due environmental factors. 2016 2017, accumulated higher amounts presumably because greater water availability soil. During application did not affect except for waste certain elements during last year.
